Gilberto Ceranto Junior, born in Botucatu (Brazil) in 1996, graduated in Violin from the Tatuí Conservatory (2014) and holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of São Paulo (2019), where he was concertmaster and soloist with the USP Philharmonic (2015-17), received a scholarship from FAPESP (2018) and received the Olivier Toni Award (2019) for his artistic production. He continued his studies at the Bologna Conservatory in Italy, as a disciple of M°Enrico Gatti.
After a second bachelor's degree in Baroque Violin (2022), he continued his studies with two contemporary Master's degrees, Baroque Violin and Harpsichord and Historical Keyboards, and received the Zucchelli Foundation scholarship (2024). He has performed in major concert halls around the world, such as the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza (Italy), the Konzerthaus in Vienna (Austria), the Shanghai Symphony Hall (China) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates), with personalities such as Andrea Marcon, Ottavio Dantone, Federico Maria Sardelli, Enrico Onofri, Federico Guglielmo, Gary Graden and Maria Keohane, and did recordings for labels as TACTVS and Da Vinci Publishing.
As a musicologist, he is responsible for the discovery of the tenth known letter of Arcangelo Corelli and several documents from the composer's family in 2021, recently published in the volume "Il giovane Corelli. Nuovi documenti e contesti" by the Arcomelo research group, published by Libreria Musicale Italiana.
