Francesco Lussignoli
TRAVERSO
After graduating in modern transverse flute, he became in contact with the Baroque Traverso in Bologna and Ferrara with Daniele Salvatore and Laura Pontecorvo. A specialization in Baroque transverse flute at the Bologna Conservatory followed immediately, where he obtained his Master's degree with top marks and honors. Currently He's completing his studies in early music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels with Anna Besson.
He attended masterclasses with Marcello Gatti, Marc Hantaï, Manuel Granatiero, and Sigiswald Kuijken. As a flutist he collaborates with Komorebi Consort and Accademia Chigiana and performs concerts in Belgium and Italy with the main focus of Historical Informed Practice.
In addition to his concert activities, pairs the interest in promoting early music as artistic director of the Zefiro Torna Festival (Velletri, Italy). After an internship focused on the musicological legacy of historical flutes at the Brussels Museum of Musical Instruments, he developed an interest in the construction of historical transverse flutes, which complements his artistic path as a musical performer.
