Fernando Rosa de Almeida
Fernando started his violin studies in Brasília, Brazil at the age of 14 in the class of Patricia Mello and 3 years late his passion for early music was evident. Through the studies of treatises and experiments he quickly became a reference in the central region of Brazil and was invited for leading roles at university and professional orchestras and ensembles. From 2013 he took 5 years of music pedagogy studies at the University of Brasilia. In 2018 he went to France as a tenor in the Choir Boca Do Mundo at the Festival International Choral en Provence where he made contacts that would facilitate his moving to France in 2019 to study historical violin in the class of Michel Coppe at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Besançon. He did then his bachelor at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in the Class of Mira Glodeanu and Benoît Douchy. At this moment he is a participant in the Erasmus+ European Mobility Program and is in the class of Kati Debretzni at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague for his first year of master’s and was granted a Fellowship with Holland Baroque which gave him the opportunity to play at the Concertgebouw and on TV at the show Podium Klassiek. He’s also often in numerous productions in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
